At the Haywood County Library, Kathy Olsen will lead you into the Seed Lending Library of Waynesville or what she calls "the room where the seeds live." Anyone who has a Cardinal Library Card can "borrow" seeds to plant.

It’s all about helping the dogs. Asheville Humane Society has a Hiking Hounds program that encourages the adoptability of dogs in their care. Each month, some adoptable dogs get the opportunity to go hiking.
