The above image was taken in the Summer of 2015, and appears in my book, The Last Memory As North Carolina and most of the United States is currently under a lock down due to COVID-19, the photograph answers the ubiquitous question that many have asked me over the years: “Why do you take so many photographs?”

My response: “Because nothing is permanent.”
